Step 1. AJS Matchless project, the early days

Freshly painted frame now has forks fitted. New steering races and bearings came from Wassell's in England. Early type oil tank mounting brackets will be modified to fit the later type front diamond. Spare crankcases are temporarily fitted to ensure everything lines up Ok. Had to modify the engine plates to fit the early crankcases, (smaller holes and slightly different spacing). Lots of welding up and re-drilling! Please note that this project is being built up from various parts collected here and there, so originality was not my main aim.
So far so good.
